If your home lies in a conservation area, or is listed, and you need to replace the old and worn-out sash windows, let us introduce you to the Bygone Symphony collection from Master Frame.

When your windows absolutely must look like timber because the planning officer is insisting, or because only the very best will do, there is only one choice. Collingtons offer a 10 year guarantee on our Bygone Symphony sash windows which are A-rated for energy efficiency as standard.
Secured by Design
Secured by Design Fully steel reinforced sashes with added security from the exclusive stainless-steel Bygone clawed cam catches, mean that Symphony windows are fully ‘Secured by Design’ compliant, making them police-approved with the preferred specification for sash windows. This means peace of mind when it comes to the security of your home.
Timberweld® technology as standard
The all-important advantage of a product that incorporates Timberweld® is that it is utterly authentic, looking every bit like a timber original and giving the impression that it has been lovingly produced by a master craftsman.
Most butt joints in the market today are open ended, however, Timberweld® joints are completely sealed from the elements, with no open chambers to allow in rain water, draughts or bugs!
Aesthetically, Timberweld® joints will blend in with all architectural styles and will be suitable for use in both conservation areas as well as the most contemporary developments.

Integral 99mm Slim Mullion
The visible mullion between other PVCu sash windows, in some cases, can be as wide as 250mm which is nothing like the slim mullions used on original timber windows. On triple window styles, where the centre sash slides and the two ‘wings’ are fixed, thick sight-lines are even more obvious, negatively impacting any authentic detailing. Our Integral 99mm slim mullions reflect the original timber windows.

Energy Efficient, Environmentally Friendly
All Bygone windows have multi-chambered sash profiles for superior thermal performance. Glass units have low-iron glass on the outer pane, gas in the cavity and low emissivity glass on the inner pane, keeping energy loss to a minimum.
They are also made from greener PCVu; historically lead has been needed as a stabiliser in PCV-U extrusions. Bygone sash windows are virtually lead-free, using calcium as an organic substitute. The only lead present is a minimal residue from the recycled element.
Colour Suited Locks and Recessed Limit Stops
Because Bygone source all of the bespoke furniture from one supplier, you can be assured that all the individual pieces will match perfectly. All Bygone windows come with two scroll handles and a single ring pull for the upper sash. Bygone also offer bespoke oak-handled poles to reach the ring pull.
Super Slim 39mm Meeting Rail
The Symphony collection introduces a super-slim mid-rail measuring just 39mm, as is typical in the original windows of so many Georgian properties. This is an industry first, and comes as standard with all Symphony windows.

Authentic Georgian Bars
All Masterframe windows use a patented method of interlocking and securing bars to the glass with a ‘Georgi®Clip’ meaning that the bars are guaranteed to stay firmly attached for the life of the window.

Unique Styles and Shapes
Bygone windows can offer most Georgian bar designs and even some less traditional ones. They can manufacture to specific visible glass sizes or line through with existing windows and doors. Windows can also be manufactured with arched heads.
Slender Sealed Units with Extra Deep Bar and Bead
Whilst all Bygone windows are steel reinforced, ‘Secured by Design’, and ‘A Rated’ as standard, Symphony windows have slender 18mm sealed units filled with Krypton gas. This performs better in narrower units than more common, chunky double-glazed units, and allows the internal aesthetic of the window to have really deep astragal bars and glazing bead.
Interlocking Georgian bars form a grille which is firmly attached to the glass surface, while the bar ends are clamped in place using patented, stainless steel Georgi-clips.
Externally chamfered sashes and bars provide the traditional, ‘putty-glazed’ appearance.
