Collingtons Are FENSA Registered

FENSA.gif

Fensa Limited is the "Fenestration Self-Assessment" scheme for companies that install windows and doors in dwellings. Since April 2002 all replacement glazing has come within the scope of Building Regulations under which it needs to comply with strict thermal performance standards to help meet the national and global energy saving targets.

Advantages Of Using A FENSA Registered Installer

If you sell your property, your purchaser's solicitors will ask for evidence that any replacement glazing installed after April 2002 complies with the Building Regulations.

There are 2 ways to prove compliance, either:

1. A certificate showing the work has been done by an installer registered under the FENSA scheme (such as Collington & Company).

Or, if the work has been done by someone who is not FENSA registered:

2. A certificate from the local authority saying that the insallation has approval under the Building Regulations.
